It's Just Hair, Right?

I've always had medium to long hair and I've always said when I get brave enough I want to just chop it off. I've always been a "ponytail gal"...99.9% of the time my hair is thrown on top of my head in a messy bun (something you can't do with short hair), so maybe it is time for a change?! Then there is the guy aspect...I have always heard guys like long hair best, true?? Hmmm... who cares about those guys anyway. :)
Then, what if it just looks terribly awful? It's not like my hair grows very fast, so I'd be stuck with it for awhile! Maybe I don't have the face for short hair or maybe I do?! Or maybe I don't give a rip about any of the above and I'm just going to do it! So, I'll leave you with this... Hmmm.

My Beautiful Quarter Life Crisis

Happy Birthday to me! I am officially 25...well, at 7:22pm.
When I was 18 I made a list of things I wanted to accomplish at certain ages...Silly me, don't we all know the easiest way to make God laugh is tell him YOUR plans! Well, I was suppose to be engaged at 22, married at 23, and having my first kid at 25, ummm... well, none of that has happened and I can say that I'm perfectly happy where I am at 25. This past year I feel like I have really found myself, I have found  things I am passionate about and figured out that I am just happy to be living life. You never know where life and God may take you...but I intend to enjoy every minute of it! At 25 my life is definetly not the way I planned it out to be, but I wouldn't change a thing...God has blessed me so greatly. Who knows where I will be next year, but I can't wait to experience the journey to get there! Here's to 25 more  amazing years. Cheers!

Are you my type?

Don't hold it against me...I've been busy, but here goes nothin'!

Where does a single gal go to meet a nice guy this day and age?!...

Work? Well, unless I want to date my 40ish year old custodian, that's not going to happen. (No offense, Mr. Tony, you're a wonderful guy!)
A bar? Uhhh no thanks! Have you seen the guys at bars lately?...Not looking for a Jersey Shore wanna be, Affliction wearing guy...or an alcoholic. Guys, those shirts are not cool!
Online?...Eh, I just can't do that yet. If I reach 30 and this is still happening I'll consider it!
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Church is next on my list.

I recently had a friend ask me, "What is your type of guy?" Ummm...well, let me see here...
Godly, good morals and values (but can still have a glass of wine and say more than shoot and darn it), family oriented, funny, kid friendly (hello, I'm a teacher), spontaneous, selfless, giving, great cook, muscle car liking, snowboarding, jcrew wearing, scruffy faced, tall, understanding, trusting, pretty eyed, travel seeking, goal achieving, dream having, classy kind of guy. That's all.
Shouldn't be hard to find, right?! All applicants can apply via Facebook. Goodnight all.

How To Hang Ups...

No, I have not been kidnapped...I'm still here! Who knew the life of a 24 year old teacher could be so busy...or maybe so dull, considering I have had nothing to write about! haha.
Have you guys noticed all the new "how to" blogs out there? There are tons of blogs with video tutorials on what outfits to put together, how to do your hair in a certain way, how to wear your make-up, how to cook a certain dish, and so on. So, that got me to thinking (dangerous, huh?!) if I had a "how to" blog what would it be about? Hmmm...let's see: Following the directions on a box of macaroni? Putting lesson plans together...who wants to learn about the letter "L" and our solar system next week? Dressing up for spirit days...I can make a pretty good superhero out of everyday clothing! Driving correctly through the drive-thru at Chickfila, 2 drive-thru lanes can be very tricky!...I'm totally open to suggestions.
All of these talented "how to" bloggers leave me feeling somewhat inadequate, but don't you worry I'll come up with something! Have a good weekend, friends!

Living the Dream. Living the Dream.

I used to think my life was pretty exciting, but as I sit here on my bed (in my parent's house) eating homemade nachos on stale chips I'm starting to think differently...

The past few weeks I have worked, worked, worked, slept a little bit, ate (horribly, I may add), and worked some more. Sounds fun, right?! I love my job...who wouldn't love teaching eight kindergartners with special needs?...Okay, okay, probably 90% of you wouldn't, but that's why you do what you do and I do what I do. Like I said, I love my job, but it is exhausting! My job has allowed me to make many new "teacher friends," who are quite wonderful, BUT are all married/engaged...not that being married or engaged is a bad thing, it just means husbands and fiances come first...barf. :)

After I read what I wrote above I decided that I should cry because my life sounds depressing, but I couldn't even squeeze one little tear out of my eyes. I'm very content with my life, happy with it, and even most of the time love it!...I know, it sounds like I'm going to be the "cat lady," but is that a bad thing?...Especially if you can replace the cats with dogs?? I still choose to enjoy the little things and I just found olives and sour cream to spruce up my nachos!

A Quick Update

Life has been a bit crazy as of late...

You'll be happy to know (hopefully) that the removal of my wisdom teeth was a slightly painful success...I am excited to say I am now eating chips and drinking diet dr. pepper.

The 2011-2012 school year started! I am teaching special ed kindergarten this year...or as I like to call it "Special K", cute huh?!...2 words come to mind, blessed and exhausted! I am so blessed that these 8 kids and their families let me be their teacher. These kids make me so happy everyday (don't hold me to that, if I'm changing a pull-up or wiping snot... my thought may be slightly different). I've been wanting to crawl into bed at 6:00 these past few days and I'm thinking that it's probably a result of doing nothing for 2 1/2 months...note to self: next summer- be more productive!

And as always I'm on the search for the perfect outfit, bacon cheeseburger, and guy...not particularly in that order.

Happy Eats

I'd love to be a size 2, I'd also love to marry Ryan Gosling...not going to happen.

I've always thought my love for food was a little absurd. I mean, I get excited about good food...that's not normal right?! I'm always on the search for the perfect cheeseburger or the best slice of pizza...it's a fun journey, want to join?
This week my love for good food has become stronger. Why, you may ask?... because I cant have any of it!! I got the good ole wisdom teeth out (all 4). The pain I can handle, the room temperature mashed potatoes and mac and cheese, I cannot. The thought crossed my mind to put a bacon cheeseburger in the blender today...don't judge me.

Planning my first good meal is in full effect. Which leads to the question...What is your favorite food and where do you get it? I'm talking about the kind of food you can't live without, the food you would want if you were about to visit the electric chair (I mean, that's how it always is in the movies).  Don't disappoint me with your answers...your good food is all I've got to keep me going for a few weeks! Until then I shall dream about this...

Nic's Grill, best cheeseburgers around! Happy Eats, my friends...Happy Eats!
